Formula SAE Vehicle Design

Designed a Formula SAE racecar from scratch, including suspension geometry, powertrain integration, and safety subsystems. Fabricated the chassis using chromoly tubing and integrated the engine assembly.

SAE Supermileage

Designed and fabricated a supermileage vehicle from scratch including aluminum space-frame chassis, fiberglass body, powertrain, steering geometry, and safety subsystems. Noteworthy development included air-fuel mixture subsystem conversion from carbureted to electronic-fuel-injection.

Sports Accessibility from Pixels

Enhancing tennis gameplay understanding using computer vision and deep learning by dissecting the components of a broadcasted tennis video including the court, players, and ball, and then converting those components to a digestible spatialized audio for blind and low-vision users. This project is conducted in the Columbia University Computer-Enabled Abilities Laboratory.

Rheinmetall Barzan Advanced Technologies - Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) R&D

Developed a robust Command and Control (C2) software for a fleet of electrified UGVs. My contribution was divided into three main categories: autonomous features, embedded software features, and systems integration. Autonomy features included 3D-LiDAR-based collision avoidance and mission waypoint validation for autonomous navigation. Embedded software development included modular architecture design and implementation in C++. Lastly, system integration included sensor/actuator integration, testing, and characterization for functionality in harsh climate and terrain.

Sayarti - A Car-Sharing Platform

Developed a complete hardware and software solution for car sharing including vehicle ECU and IOS app integration. Simply reserve an available car in your nearby proximity, walk up to the vehicle, and tap the ‘Unlock’ button on your phone. Drive to your destination, park the vehicle in any approved parking spot, and pay by the minute!

Performance assessment of stand alone bifacial solar panel under real time conditions

Published in 2017 IEEE 44th Photovoltaic Specialist Conference (PVSC), 2017

This paper examines the performance of bifacial solar panels in the real-time climate of Qatar under winter and summer. The operating conditions such as ambient temperature, albedo and soiling have been studied for bifacial PV cells.

Towards Accessible Sports Broadcasts for Blind and Low-Vision Viewers

Published in SIGCHI Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems (CHI 2023, Extended Abstracts), 2023

This paper presents Immersive A/V, an accessible audio/video format that is automatically generated by parsing the video feed of sports broadcasts —in our case, tennis broadcasts— making it possible for BLV people to visualize the gameplay via spatialized audio cues.
